It's been a really long time.

I've had the baby now and he's is doing great. Just got his first tooth last week. I'm so glad it finally popped thru, he was really hurting. There is a long birth story and I'll post that later.

C(2), this will be how I address our little man, is now just a little over 6 months. He's pretty content on my lap so he isn't really working on crawling quite yet. He's so very interested in watching everything though he doesn't really want to be in the middle of it all.

I have recently started feeding him food! He eats like he's always been doing it. No funny faces and not spitting any of it out. He likes it all so far. Rice cereal, green beans and sweet baby peas is all we have tried.

I'm not sure why I waited a couple extra months with him. My daughter I started rice cereal at 4 months not 6. ??Hm... C(2) was definitely ready. Every time I had anything in my hand he would get super excited and try to eat it. LOL

KK which will also be listed as KD, because I switch between the two, has recently started pre-school. She says she likes it and thanks me all the time for letting her go but I feel that it is changing her. I guess that's something that's a given. As they grow older the grow up but she's having some issues with attitude. She talks back the babysitter on the days she comes back from pre-school and she doesn't listen very much on those days either when she gets home.

She seems to internalize allot of her feelings, I think she's being told to be quiet at pre-school and so she's kind of doing the same at home and wont share her feelings with me. I'm not sure what to do about that. She also tells me she doesn't want to TALK about pre-school. She tells C (her dad) a lot more than me.

She told him the other day Miss L. asked her to fold her arms and be quiet. KD claims she wasn't touching anyone her elbows were. LOL

The first day of pre-school she was so excited to go and then when I picked her up she was very quiet and has pretty much been the same way since. (Her name tag also had her name spelt wrong) Which was her very first art project ever with school. That took me a week of re-enforcing that K is for her name not C. I even talked to the teacher about it that day and she really didn't seem too bothered by the mistake. I took that a little personal as since she didn't even say sorry but she did correct the spelling on her paperwork.

A ton more going on in my life since last Oct, wow, it's almost been a whole year since I last posted. I'll write a post including ALL of my families medical crap that's been going on, when I have a lot more time to write it all out.

Ta Ta for now :)

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://thewonderouslife.blogspot.com/2009/09/wow-its-been-really-long-time.html' title='Wow! My husband was home to do everything with us. We went downtown Tooele and trick-or-treated all the business'. That was fun but a bit crowded. I was pretty beat by the time we were done there so once we got home I made it around the circle with her and then her dad took her thru the neighborhood. While I was home cooking dinner I burnt my hand on the oven. :( I'll have a scar. Darn it....

She also had a blast handing out candy to all the little ghosts and goblins. :) She was rather disappointed that Halloween was only one day however. I'm not so happy about the aftermath though. I'm not big on giving her candy so having a bowl of candy in the closet is driving me crazy. Good thing her dad eats candy fast. LOL

So, I've started feeling the baby move a lot more lately. The bigger he is getting the stranger my dreams are getting. The dream: Last night: We were walking thru the forest, not sure what we were doing there, and a wolf came to us. There was a couple guys with two little girls out there with us. Not someone I know in real life but I definitely knew them in this dream. After a few minutes we noticed that there were about 5 or 6 wolves and they were starting to circle us. My husband guided us out of that situation but we lost the two other guys.

So, now it's Me, KK, the two little girls and my husband. As we are walking a bear comes along. It comes strait to me and KK. It seams to not be too aggressive but wants me to give her KK. No way! I turn to walk away and it smacks me in the head. I'm not killed but am hurt badly. I keep walking and C (husband) comes along with a gun. He keeps the bear in sights and we walk away.

Then as we were walking the two little girls get separated from us. We are walking thru thick trees and suddenly we hear something large. It's running thru the forest at us and not even dodging trees. It's just bulldozing them down. Once we can see what it is, it's too close for us to get away from it. It's a large moose!

I spot the two little girls. They were behind the moose now. It just barely missed running them down. This animal has an obvious radar on me and KK. At this moment C and I realize these animals are all after KK. She is currently in a stroller so I can push her. I'm week from the bear attack. The moose comes after us and at that exact moment (the one moment you don't want to watch) I woke up. Dream over.

So it seems, everything is out to get my princess. :( I sure don't like these dreams while prego. Not only are the just weird, scary and strange but they are so vivid and real.

Well, that's enough for today.

Halloween Day!

We have a day full of festivities :)

My daughter had a Halloween party at daycare today. By the way, I love our sitter! She rocks! So last night KK and I put together treat bags for everyone. That was soooo much fun.

I don't so much when it comes to doing cute fun stuff like that. We usually just buy a bag of candy and call it good. I just don't usually think to put it in cute little bags and all. I'm glad I did this time. KK makes things so much more fun.

While we were at the store she was adorable. Everytime we passed someone she would say "Trick-or-Treat"... They would smile/laugh and keep walking. How excited is she going to be when she actually gets something for saying "Trick-or-treat"???? LOL

I will post a picture of her treat bags later.

Her dad stayed home today so he could partake in the wonderfull holiday festivities. :) That makes me very happy. She has been out to trick-or-treat twice all ready in her life and everytime he's been working. This is a great year for him to be home for this. He picked her up from daycare all ready and is taking her to grandma's house. I hope they have a fun day! More about trick-or-treating later.....

Things I've done
To participate just copy and paste in your own blog, and bold all of the things you have done. KK enjoyed herself emensly. I never new she would find a maze that enertaining. She kept going just to see if she could get thru it faster and faster each time. I truely enjoyed watching her play.

I'm so happy my friend and her son were able to make it. We don't get to do hardly enough together. Here is a pic of KK and her friend in the maze. They didn't stay together very well but you can see him running towards the camera and her a row over running the opposite direction.

They had so much fun! Afterwords we went to McD's to eat and let them play some more.

DH had went to work that morning so he missed the fun there but we did get out on a date later that night. Nothing too spectacular. They people we were suppose to meet up with (from work) never showed. We were all going to a haunted corn maze. Not fun with just the two of us. I don't like going to those things alone. Must be in a group. I know, I'm a wuss.... LOL

We didn't let it ruin our night out however. We just ended up driving south anyways, since we asked a friend to put out our bassinet. We had to go pick it up. We just did dinner at Olive Garden and we were going to go to a movie but were too tired. How lame are we? LOL

Went and picked up KK and went to home to sleep. We were home at a respectful mid-night and went strait to bed. That's so much for our fun Saturday. We were pooped.

Oh Boy!

So yesterday we went into Fetal Fotos, I love that place! We were able to find out what we are having. It's a boy! I'll post pics too. The pic to the left is what makemebabies.com predicts our son will look like. (I know our son will be way cuter than that though) LOL :)

My sister and her husband joined us. It was fun sharing that experiance with them. My husband and I both kept everything pretty personal just between the two of us whith our first, so it was different sharing that with someone else.

KK was with us too. Our daughter. She is only 2.5 yrs old so that was a little cool for her but she did loose interest after a few mins. I think she understands a little more now what is in mommy's belly. After we got back to grandmas house she started to act out a bit. I'm thinking it's because she missed her nap and there was so much excitement with my sister visiting too. I hope KK adjusts ok with us adding another kid to the family.

I can't get the pictures to add right so here's a link to my photobucket stuff. Hope it works right.
http://s150.photobucket.com/albums/s95/rla9147/?action=view&current=ALLENBABY_11.jpg

So long diapers and pull ups!

KK has been dry all week long. Using the potty to poo and pee in. I'm so happy that she's doing so awesome!

I can't wait untill we no longer need pull-ups. :) I think she is a little sad about it though. She keeps wanting to ware her princess pull-ups, even though we have princess panties. I just remind her that when we get ready for bed she can then ware them.

I'll be exstatic not having two kiddos in diapers. Woo hoo!

Nothing else really going on in our lives right now. Went shopping yesterday. Did some dishes and have been going to work.

I guess I keep forgetting to mention that my dad is in the hospital again. Pneumonia again. I wish they would all just quit smoking in the house at least. If he were to quit smoking completely then I'm sure it couldn't hurt.

I know it's hard to quit. I did it, after smoking for 12 years. C also quit and has done awesome this time. Not even a drag. It's been over a year for him and 3 for me. That's all I have to say today. Adios!

The weekend

Not much happen as far as fun and entertainment. We did however get quite a bit done around the house. C put a whole bunch of platforms up in the attic so we can now use it for storage space. Took him a great portion of the day Sat. Then yesterday he mowed the lawn and also helped with a ton load of laundery. I hate doing laundry and I hate putting it away even more, so the fact that he did most of it and put it away made me real happy.

He then went thru the bedroom and cleaned a great deal of junk out. It's much nicer to be in there now. Other than that, I cleaned the kitchen and we carved pumkins. It was so much fun. We actually carved something besides the basic Jack-O-Lantern face and they turned out really cool. KD had a blast coloring her pumpkin. We just gave her crayons and markers and told her to go to town on it. We even had her hollow it out so she could feel like she was doing the same thing as us. I'll have to post pics later tonight.

Hope your weekend was great!

Let's talk about the weather.

Why is the weather so crummy outside? I think it will be too windy. If not, then that's what we are doing when I get home. I feel like a big lazy slob. I can't remember the last time I exercised.

On another note, I think I might have found my doctor. I hope so. I just really want a fabulous doctor. I don't think that is too much to ask for. Great doctor, great office, great service. I'm having a baby for heaven sakes. I want this to be a special and loving experience. Plus my doctor is no longer doing babies. I'm sure she could suggest someone just as great, from her same office though.

Work is almost over for the week. I am so relieved. C (husband) will be working tonight but then is off for the weekend. He was going to go on a bike ride tomorrow with another one of our friends but I think it will be too rainy for them to ride. My friend was going to come stay the night but she is coming down with something and she doesn't want to give it to me (and I don't want it anyway) so she may not come stay the night. :(

I sure hope we can get the kids together next weekend and have a sleep over. If you're reading this friend, I hope you can come and nothing comes up. :) Thanks for thinking of me and letting me know you are getting sick. I do truly appreciate that.

So off I go. To fight the commuters home.

The last straw

I am currently pregnant. I have to say this time around I am going crazy. I have all ready switched my Dr 3 times do to scheduling conflicts, horrible waiting times and now just shity ass service.

My first Dr Visit to a Dr in the Old Farm Gyno and Obstetris was rotten. The Dr seemed nice enough but it took them until 45 mins after my appointed time to get me out of the waiting room and into the Dr's office. Where I waited another 15 mins before the doc even came in to talk to me. He then moved me to the little room where the actual exam takes place.

Now normally papsmears are uncompfortable for me any how, this was way uncomfy and I didn't realize why untill I got home. He didn't have a nurse in the room when he performed the pap. Odd.

So I decide that it's ok and I will just set another appt. I was refered to him by a pretty reliable source and maybe I just feel off because I've never had a male OB. The next appt is set up six weeks later. I walk away with a perscription of Clomid and am told "Good luck!" Thank you and on my way.

I find out I'm pregnant! It all worked great. So I call to set my 8/10 week appt. They have nothing available until I am 10.5 weeks along. I'm all read 4 weeks but that seems ok, I guess. Getting closer to the appt date I realize I can't get the time off to go to my appt. So I call to re-schedule and there is nothing more available and I will have to wait untill I am 14 weeks to get in. The office schedule and my work schedule just don't mesh so I wonder off to find another Dr.

Another Dr's office sets me up to come in when I am 9 weeks along but again the office hours just suck and I can't get the time off. Finaly I find one that is just up the street from my work and they seem to be an in-network facility, so my insurance is accepted. I set an appt to see Dr Ostriech. I get to the office, now being 10 weeks and 4 days along. I am told that the Dr I am set up with has not transfered to the office yet but I can see Dr Sasanka. I hate change and unexpected surprises.

I sit and wait. My DH comes with me since it's the first appt and he is very excited. We might get to see the baby via U/S. While waiting the office is filled with many, no, all Mexican's and one Indian. Then there is me. I'm trying to be a good person and I ignore this. Even though everyone that works the front desk speaks primarily Spanish and I felt like I was inconveniencing them to speak English to me. DH mentions that he feels like we are sitting at the free clinic. Hey! Maybe we are. I no they accept any insurance and no insurance. What can we expect?

So I get in to see the nurse. We go thru everything with the nurse. The Dr comes in and talks very little with us. Not much other than he wants to do a pap. I just had one and I told him. He says that it's not the same, they do different tests when they do the first pre-natal pap. Grabs me by the hips and slides me down. Of course my husband is sitting there the whole time watching. He told me he didn't want to be in the room if they were gonna do a pap. I told him they wont. The nurse gave me a release form to get the last pap results released from the other Dr's office. Guess I was wrong.

So after that I am told to go give a gallon of blood for all the tests and to return to the waiting room and wait for our U/S. They would like to do one so they can date the fetus. I could have told you how far along we were but they insisted and who was I to argue. We were going to get the first look at our little baby.

Ended up waiting like 40 mins untill they came to get us. The U/S went great and Dh got to be there to see the baby flipping around like crazy. We took home some pics. They call me back a week later and tell me I have a UTI and to come pick up my perscription paper. I ask them to call it in. Long story short and many many calls to the Dr's office later, it takes them a week and a half to get it called in. Mean time I am hurting.

The next visit goes even worst. I wait till 20 mins after my appt to be called back. I get to see Dr Ostriech, which is who I was suppose to be seen by in the first place. He seems nice enough, I guess. He gets on me for not drinking enough water and tells me that my pains under my rib are nothing. Doesn't even poke at me. I advise him my left ovary hurts all most constant and for the 20th time state that we conceived on Clomid. He then jokes about me not making a good first impression and tells me we will do an U/S to make sure everything is ok. I tell him about the resonating pain in my back and he tells me to get a belly gurdle thingy. (It's not that kind of pain) There is something wrong here. He writes on the file so the tech would be sure to know to check my left side for cysts. He then sends me out to the waiting room to wait for my U/S. The nurse and Dr both dawn their personal items and bolt out the door. I was the last patient for them it seams.

I waited about 10 mins and a nurse comes to tell me it wont be long and I am next. The tech comes out and says something. I was watching TV and didn't notice the name he called but the nurse said I was next. So I stood and said Allen? He said Yes and so I followed. We get into the room and he starts babbling Spanish at me. I don't understand a word you are saying buddy. He then looks at me like waiting for something. Then he tells me in English "Sit on table". I do. He soes the U/S of the baby and moves my due date again. Up by 5 more days and then starts to clean up. I ask "Did you see the note by the Dr? He wanted you to check the left side for cysts" He says, "Ya, I saw" and starts to clean up more. I insisted he wasn't done and to please check. So he does and ends up I have a big one but it's far from the baby and nothing to be concerned about. I get done and go home. Look at the picture of MY baby and that fucking idiot did the U/S with somone elses name in the computer.

I tried to get the office to straiten it all out but they didn't understand the English I was speaking. Then when I do get my Dr's nurse she says it was my fault because he called someone elses name and I went out of turn. Screw you lady just fix it. Thanks!

I go in today and the Dr hardly looks at me. He hums over my file and asks if anyone told me two weeks ago I have a bladder infection?... Um, No and wouldn't the be you, the Dr, that would tell me that? He then asks if anyone gave me a script for the antbiotics. Um, No again and wouldn't or shouldn't that have been you? So he gives me my perscription and tells me to go give some blood. I ask about the cyst and he say, with his back turned and not looking up from my file, It's not a big deal. Signals me to follow him out of the room and gets impatient when I stand there for a moment to do up my pants. Arg! Fuck you dude. I am not an inconveniance and I am paying this bill out of MY pocket. Not on state assistance don't treat me like you're better than me.

I give blood. The phlembotomist is awesome. She even acts shocked that they didn't even fill out my chart all the way and had to correct my orientation to Caucasion. We had a laugh about that. She jagged me and I went home.

I will be changing Dr's offices again. This sucks and there are no offices in Tooele excepting new patients untill after the first of the year.

Now that I have written a freakin novel I'm going to bed. Next post I will write about our doggy drama and tragedies.
